Bluhawk Progress Report: See What’s New & What’s Coming Soon

During these unusual times, Bluhawk has been fortunate enough to be able to move forward with development plans across the site. You can check out the drone-captured video footage of the progress we’ve made on our leasing page.

Once we all get through this together and the booming Kansas City region we have all come to know is fully back up and running, Bluhawk will still be here. This diverse space for retail, dining, services and events is changing the landscape of midwestern communities, and it’s moving forward in a big way.

Construction Updates: Housing, Adventhealth & More

From housing to hospitals, we’re making new progress at Bluhawk every day. It’s no secret that Overland Park has been ranked the #1 place to raise a family time and time again by WalletHub.com. Our vision includes providing a place where young families can not only live but thrive in the long term.

That’s what Bluhawk’s 70-acre residential district is for. More single-family homes are now available at Bluhawk, and construction has been completed on new multi-family residences.

Construction has been underway on the AdventHealth expansion since the winter of 2019 to address the growing healthcare needs of the thriving Overland Park community. The planned completion is set for 2021. Next year’s additions to the growing campus will feature a new birth center, surgical services, an intensive care unit, enhanced heart care and more.

Additionally, National Veterinary Associates has broken ground on the construction of its new pet hospital location at Bluhawk. Stay tuned for more information on its progress and official opening.

New Tenant Updates: Retail & Restaurants

Our current tenants have been proactively making changes to ensure sustainability during the current global health crisis and beyond. And we’re excited to announce we’ve added some new restaurant and retail tenants to our roster.

Construction of the new T.J. Maxx is underway in the Bluhawk Marketplace, and the store is slated to open soon. The popular retail store will offer convenience for both Bluhawk residents and the regional population, including the households within a three-mile radius of Bluhawk with an average annual household income of $155,000.

In Bluhawk restaurant news, Panera Bread is now open, and we have two great restaurants coming soon. Cactus Grill Unique Tex-Mex & Cantina and Gyu-Kaku Japanese Barbecue. Both are slated to open in the upcoming weeks, so be on the lookout for more details.
